Timebanking is about people helping people. It’s a community of people
who provide a supportive network sharing their skills, using time as a
unit of credit. For every hour you spend helping someone you earn
one time bank credit. You can then use this credit to ask someone for
an hour of their time.

Principles of Time Banking
Time Bank has four principle values
Community - a social and friendly community of people willing to support each other
Reciprocity - hours are a currency so for every hour given one can be taken and vice versa
Respect - as in all communities respect is the foundation for time banking
Assets - everybody has different skills and talents to offer all are valued equally

- All time bank members meet with a coordinator for an interview; this will
- include taking character references.
- When you are a member you can earn hours by responding to requests and make requests of your own.
- Time Bank members only do what they want, when they want, and are under no obligation.
- You can earn Time Credits for any voluntary work you are already doing or by responding
- to a request from other time bank members.
